A graduate of the Quebec City Conservatory of Dramatic Arts in 1980, Marie-Ginette Guay has performed in over 100 stage roles. Over the years, she has received numerous awards for her theatrical performances, including the AQCT Critics' Award for her roles in the plays Concert à la carte, Madame G., and Disgrâce. In 1994, she received the Janine-Angers Award for Sainte-Carmen de la main, and in 2007, she appeared in Un simple soldat. More recently, she has appeared in Les Plouffes, Apologia, and Tout inclus. Her film credits include Il pleuvait des oiseaux, Une manière de vivre, Les Nôtres, Les affamés, Continental, un film sans fusil, On the road, and Simple comme Sylvain. On television, she starred in the series Discussions avec mes parents, earning a Gémeaux nomination in 2021. In 2010, she won the Gémeaux Award for Best Supporting Actress in the series Aveux.
