The 2026 editions will be held concurrently in Montréal and Québec Cityfrom July 15 - August 2, 2026
This summer marked a successful and triumphant relaunch for the collective gem that is the Juste pour rire / Just for Laughs Festival, presented in collaboration with Loto-Québec. The 2025 edition, held in both Montréal and Québec City, reaffirmed Juste pour rire / Just for Laughs as a major cultural institution in both the Québec and global comedy industries. In 2026, the Festival will be held in both cities simultaneously, with Montréal kicking off July 15 and running through July 26, and Québec City running from July 22 - August 2. In addition, the Just for Laughs Group continues its global expansion with festivals in Toronto, Sydney, Bermuda, Vancouver, and more exciting announcements coming soon at www.hahaha.com.
With a total budget of more than $45 million invested in culture and the economy, sold-out venues, massive crowds in both cities, a record number of television productions, and unprecedented digital and media reach, Juste pour rire / Just for Laughs has solidified itself more than ever as a must-see showcase of Québec and international talent—in French, English, and Spanish.
“This year, Juste pour rire / Just for Laughs brought an international audience to the province of Québec through two distinct yet complementary events. From the major outdoor stages in Montréal to the warm atmosphere of Québec City, Juste pour rire / Just for Laughs brought together all generations, communities, and languages—French, English, and Spanish.
