Festival Assistant

Do you have an interest in the arts and entertainment industry? Do you want to be in the thick of the action at the world’s biggest comedy festival? Then we’ve got the job for you! Just for Laughs is looking for a Festival Assistant to join its team for the 2022 edition of our Festival in Montreal.

Reporting directly to the Executive Assistant to the President, the Festival Assistant will work closely with the President’s office to provide administrative and logistical support for the period of the festival.

The ideal candidate has excellent communication and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team.

Job duration: This is a temporary, full-time position starting June 27th until August 5th, 2022. Please note, in-person presence is required. Flexibility in terms of work schedule and long hours will be required during the festival period.

Location: Montreal, QC


  • Managing VIP invitations and ticket requests (for artists and special guests), as well as dinner reservations, etc.
  • Answering phones
  • Drafting emails
  • Assisting with monitoring social media accounts
  • Performing a variety of clerical tasks and errands

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken
  • Good computer skills, with a good knowledge of the Microsoft Office environment (Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook)
  • Organizational skills and priority-setting skills
  • Ability to work well in a team, good interpersonal skills
  • The capacity to work with confidential information
  • Experience working for a festival an asset
