David Pryde

As seen on ZOOM! David Pryde is a seasoned stand-up and writer whose appearances include numerous Just for Laughs galas, over 20 episodes of CBC Radio’s The Debaters and, way back when, a 14-second joke on the “Pass the Mic” segment of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. David has recorded three stand-up albums (Googly, Sight Gags, and Tête Offensive) and has received Canadian Comedy Award nominations for Best Male Stand-up, Best Newcomer, and Best Televised Appearance for the Just for Laughs “Montreal: An Intervention” Gala celebrating the city’s 375th anniversary. Most recently, he courageously boarded a plane to perform at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival in the autumn of 2020. He still lives (thankfully) in Montreal with his wife, two kids and two cats, all of whom provide love, support and material.
