Glenn Macaulay

Weird Al Karaoke was born in Toronto, out of the womb of Comedy Bar’s “Festival of New Formats” back in January of 2013. This annual event allows comics to try out their wildest ideas for live shows, which proved the perfect opportunity for Glenn Macaulay to test out his dream of a show where comedians sing their own parody songs to a karaoke backing track. Bringing aboard his best friend Andy Hull to co-host and play the tracks as DJ Sports, the show quickly caught on within the community, attracting stand-ups, improvisors and sketch comedians in one fun show. It has since spawned versions in Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, and Atlanta and continues to run monthly in Toronto within Comedy Bar’s cabaret space.
