Ticketing Sales Representative

Its various products are well known to the public in Canada and abroad (the Galas, the Gags series, the outdoor component of the Festival, Just for Laughs, etc.) The Group remains the world leader in the distribution of comedy television series with a presence in more than 135 countries and 95 airlines. The visibility of the Gags series has reached a record level on YouTube with more than one billion views.

The Just For Laughs Group's Marketing team is currently seeking a Ticketing Sales Representative for our Commercial, Corporate, Tourism and Group accounts.

Position Objective

This position is responsible for generating revenue through campaigns and group sales tactics. This position is the go-to person to support the sales team in scheduling events. This team member plays a key role in creating daily interactions with key business partners. He/she identifies partnership opportunities and provides strategic business guidance, makes recommendations on strategic tactics in planning to generate revenue.

Main Duties :

  • Establish and maintain meaningful relationships with qualified inbound prospects
  • Provide quotes for one-time and recurring services
  • Identify partnership and referral opportunities with corporate clients
  • Build a portfolio of corporate clients through prospecting, cold calling and emailing
  • Convert warm leads into lasting partnerships
  • Sell and service packages and group ticketing programs, focusing on proactive service and account growth
  • Generate new business through networking, relationship building, referrals and prospecting
  • Utilize traditional and non-traditional sales tactics to promote and sell ticket packages to consumers (including cold calling, email, texting and digital strategies)
  • Identify up-sell and cross-sell opportunities to maximize ticket sales
  • Stay up-to-date with all products, pricing and benefits
  • Deliver a consistent, high-level experience to all customers
  • Assemble PowerPoint presentations and Excel documents illustrating sales and campaign data results
  • Perform all administrative tasks associated with the sales process (such as preparing agreements, updating databases, maintaining profile information and billing)
  • Act as a liaison between accounting and ticket holders regarding seating issues and payments
  • Perform all other duties and activities related to this role as directed by the Ticketing Manager
  • Sell group tickets for events at our entertainment properties
  • Implement the annual strategic plan to achieve industry sales goals
  • Manage and maintain customer and prospect data
  • Build lasting relationships with our partners and provide exceptional service in all relationships with existing and potential customers

Minimum Qualifications

  • Training in sales and/or customer service (major asset)
  • Experience with ticketing platforms is considered an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent understanding of MS Office Suite and Outlook (extensive knowledge of Excel is considered an asset)
  • Knowledge of the comedy industry (asset)
  • Bilingual - English/French
