The Just For Laughs Group's Marketing team is currently seeking a Sales and Marketing Business Analyst

Position Objective:
This position is responsible for generating marketing revenue, enabling the team's campaigns and tactics to be effective. This team member plays a critical role in creating daily interactions with the marketing leadership team, internal business partners and various functional partners. He/she provides strategic business direction, makes recommendations on strategic tactics and ensures we have the proper processes, tracking and planning in place to drive revenue.
Main Duties :
- Identify business and marketing opportunities
- Conduct market research using our internal database and data collection tools across various sales channels to highlight market trends and lead opportunities for new products or services.
- Research secondary data to obtain relevant information (using scholarly articles, general and professional media articles, comments on social networks and blogs from individuals or professionals, etc.) to support market research for innovation projects.
- Conduct agile market research to understand the business reality and opportunities in new product and service categories.
- Evaluate campaign performance
- Forecast, measure, analyze and report on the impact of marketing campaigns/projects/programs/portfolios.
- Plan, design and conduct consumer surveys: In the field during outdoor activities; or on the web in outdoor related interest groups.
- Analyze and synthesize the results of qualitative studies to better understand users' needs, motivations/barriers to adopting a product/service, or their opinion on a product/service.
- Monitor and regularly update trend books on consumer behavior in different age groups.
- Continuously evaluate pipe-to-spend, performance and cost of acquisition, adjusting tactics and demand strategy accordingly.
- Help translate strategy into operational plans/budgets and support the marketing leadership team in ensuring they remain aligned and on strategy.
- Work with Finance to refine our value measurement framework to track and report on the benefits of investments.
- Support the marketing leadership team in overseeing campaigns/projects/programs/portfolios to ensure they are all delivered with excellence and on time.
- Establish, implement and maintain standardized processes for campaign/project/program/portfolio management.
- Build and evolve the project and program reporting framework; design processes and use appropriate tools to manage and visualize work to improve transparency within marketing and with stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, mathematics, or other related field
- 3 years experience in research methodology, communication statistics (an asset) ;
- 3 years experience in a similar position
- Bilingual - English/French
- Knowledge of web tools and the Office suite
- Knowledge of the entertainment and arts communities
