Just For Laughs brings more of its funniest alumni to a town near you with the Just For Laughs Roadshow! Now in its 6th year, The Roadshow, hitting Ontario every spring, features four of the best stand-ups straight from the world’s largest and most prestigious comedy event.

Montreal’s own Joey Elias began performing comedy in 1992 after losing a pool hall bet to a friend. His loss was the comedy world’s gain. Since then, Joey has appeared in 11 Just For Laughs festivals taking his rightful place alongside the world’s funniest comedians. In 2004 he ventured to Afghanistan to entertain Canadian troops. From stage to screen, Joey has appeared in several roles including “The Wool Cap” with William H. Macy and “The Day After Tomorrow” with Dennis Quaid. He has been called “a treasure” by the Montreal Gazette and we wholeheartedly agree with that appraisal. Joey also appeared on the 2004 and 2006 Lipton Just For Laughs Comedy Tour, hitting 24 cities across Canada.
Louis Ramey is a sharp witted humorist who lives and breathes comedy! As a world traveller, he thrives on touring and live performance and is a very popular college act, performing at hundreds of Campuses in the USA. He has performed on numerous television shows including: The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Last Call with Carson Daly, The View and on his own half an hour special, Comedy Central Presents: Louis Ramey. Louis has been invited to perform twice at Just For Laughs as well as the Just for Laughs Comedy Tour in Singapore and in Canada. He has also opened for many Musical Legends such as Ray Charles, Whitney Houston, Smokey Robinson, Isaac Hayes, & Donna Summer at concert venues across the USA. He is currently the host of TV Land and The NICK @ NITE ROAD CREW.
Rocky LaPorte has been performing comedy across America as a top-notch headliner for a long time. He was voted the Las Vegas Comedy Festival’s Comedian of the Year, made numerous appearances on “The Tonight Show” and “Caroline’s Comedy Hour” and even filmed his own pilot for CBS aptly titled the “The Rocky LaPorte Show”. In addition to these actual facts, Rocky claims to have played for the Chicago Cubs during the 70’s, been a professional opera singer in Cleveland and single-handedly re-united The Eagles. Suffice is to say you never know with Rocky LaPorte what is fact and what is fiction. All you know for sure is that it will be very funny. And frankly, that is all we care about.
