Just For Laughs brings more of its funniest alumni to a town near you with the Just For Laughs Roadshow! Now in its 5th year, The Roadshow, hitting Ontario every spring, features four of the best stand-ups straight from the world’s largest and most prestigious comedy event.

Following the success of the 2007 Lipton Just For Laughs Comedy Tour which visited cities across Canada, Just For Laughs brings more of its funniest alumni to a town near you. The Road Show, hosted by Joe Starr, is a more compact version of the Comedy Tour, with just as many laughs from some of the world’s best comedic talent.

The grandson of a vaudevillian, Joe Starr has show business in his blood.  Combining a “Rat Pack” retro-cool with a masterful eye for absurdities of modern life, Joe is a favorite everywhere he performs. He has worked with a host of luminaries including Tim Allen, Kevin James, Wendy Liebman, Soupy Sales and most recently, Robert Klein and in 2004 was featured on the Just For Laughs Comedy Tour across Canada. Joe has also appeared in venues ranging from comedy clubs to theatres to Caesar’s in Atlantic City and was chosen to perform at the Just For Laughs Festival 5 times.

Starr’s television debut appearance on the Metro Channel’s New Joke City, a half-hour stand-up comedy show hosted by Robert Klein, filmed at New York’s Gotham Comedy Club, showcased him as one of the future leading comedic talents to take the stage. Joe also recently completed work on Oliver Stone’s “9/11 Project.”

Tim Nutt is a comic who can't be judged by his cover.  Long-haired, bearded and "Rough around the edges", audiences expect Nutt's material to match. But he surprises with razored-down punch lines and well conjured-up premises that place him as one of the top comics working today. Tim was recently recognized with a Canadian Comedy Award for his performance on CBC's Just For Laughs.

Jim Short is an Australian-born comic who began his stand-up career in Dallas, Texas, and now lives in San Francisco. In 2007, Jim made his debut on The Late Show with David Letterman. He has also appeared several times on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, as well as Late Night with Conan O’Brien, and Comedy Central’s Premium Blend. Jim has appeared three times at Just For and was the 2004 winner of the prestigious San Francisco International Comedy Competition.

Andrew Grose is a Canadian comedy veteran with some of the most impressive credentials in the industry. He has appeared in his own sitcom on The Comedy Network as well as Comedy Now, Comics!, Just For Laughs, Help TV, Comedy At Club 54, Madly Off In All Directions and Debaters. Andrew received nominations for a Canadian Comedy Award and a Gemini for outstanding television writing for CTV’s Double Exposure as well as a Leo for his outstanding writing on the television series Point Blank. Grose has also appeared on two Just For Laughs Tours, has performed at Just For Laughs Laughs 4 times and entertained our Canadian military overseas in Afghanistan and The United Arab Emirates.
