After breakout English performances at last summer’s Festival, one of Quebec’s biggest stars Rachid Badouri, is primed to take over the Ethnic Show, as part of the 2016 National Bank Club Series. Badouri is one of the most passionate, enthusiastic comedians, selling over 750,000 tickets during his career and becoming one of the most sought-after performers in the world. Included in the Ethnic Show is a gathering of some of the most diverse comedians with unique backgrounds and perspectives including; Nigerian-American Godfrey, Greek-American Yannis Pappas, from the Bronx, Puerto Rican Gina Brillon, Jewish-American Jessica Kirson and special guest and Festival favourite, Italian-American Dom Irrera. The Ethnic Show will take place at Club Soda and Metropolis with 19 performances from July 13-28, 2016.

Rachid Badouri

He’s cool: Dom is known as "The Dominator" in  comedy circles

He’s on TV: His television appearances include The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Late Show with David Letterman, Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Tosh.0, Oprah ,"Seinfeld", "Everybody Loves Raymond" and The View. He has also starred in his own Comedy Central and HBO specials.

He’s top-ranked: Dom was voted one of Comedy Central's Best Comedians of all time.

People listen to him: Dom currently hosts his own podcast "Live from The Laugh Factory with Dom Irrera" where he chats and riffs with other comedy luminaries.

He’s consistent: Dom has performed more often at JFL and at the Cats Laugh Festival in Killkenny Ireland, than any other American comedian.

  • As soon as he went pro, he immediately landed several high profile projects. Ben Stiller cast him to play himself in “Zoolander,” a performance that has since achieved cult status
  • He is perhaps best known for his stint as the “7UP Guy” in the beloved 7UP national campaign
  • He's also made many television appearances including performing on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” and recently starred in his own one-hour special for Comedy Central, "Godfrey: Black By Accident." He recently recurred on FX's “Louie” and also played the lead in a pilot for that network called “Bronx Warrants”

  • Has been doing standup since she was 17 years old

Yannis Pappas

He’s got hosting chops: Yannis is the host of AOL’s Original Series, 2 Point Lead. He was also the co-host of MSG’s sports fan show, The Bracket and the host of ABC’s Fusion Live on the Fusion Network.

He’s special: Yannis’ Half Hour Comedy Central Special aired in 2014 and is available on Amazon, iTunes,
