Larry Miller
Larry Miller has one of the most recognizable foreheads in America. After establishing himself as one of the most respected comedians of his generation, Larry has appeared in over 50 films and numerous television shows. This is an amazing accomplishment for an outspoken conservative in Hollywood. His film appearances began with a cameo in the classic 'Pretty Woman' and include his memorable roles in Christopher Guest's 'Best in Show' and 'Waiting for Guffman'. Larry's television credits range from the dramatic series like 'Medium' and 'Law and Order' to his regular appearances on 'Late Night with David Letterman'. Never lacking intellect, Larry wrote the best-selling book 'Spoiled Rotten America' and is a contributing humorist to Huffington Post and the Weekly Standard.
Craig Robinson
Craig Robinson started his comedy career while in college and he has learned something every step of his career. In 1996 he won The Miller Genuine Draft Comedy Search. Right then and there he learned he was funny. Two years later he was signed by Fox to an exclusive development deal while performing at the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival. This is where he learned that he had a brilliant future in comedy. Craig’s extraordinary delivery and material has not only lead to a successful stand up career but also has catapulted him into hit shows like ‘The Bernie Mac Show’ and ‘Arrested Development’. Craig is also one of the stars of ‘The Office’ and has appeared in the blockbuster comedy Knocked Up. You can also catch him this summer in the feature film “Pineapple Express” This guy may no longer be in college but he has definitely graduated to the top of class.
Patrice Oneal
Patrice O'Neal got his first real taste of stand-up at a place called Estelle's in Boston. He was heckling a comic, and the comic suggested maybe Patrice thought he could do better. Patrice did and the following week he went on stage at Estelle's and brought down the house. Since then Patrice simply hasn't stopped. He has appeared on "The Late Show with Conan O'Brien" three times, was a regular on the very popular Comedy Central show “Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn” and has guest starred on numerous television shows including: FOX’s critically acclaimed “Arrested Development” and NBC’s “The Office. He has also performed half hour specials on both Showtime and Comedy Central. Be sure to check out Patrice in his latest special, his own HBO “One Night Stand” half hour special airing late this summer.
Jimmy Fallon
Just for Laughs is proud to announce the return of Comedy Superstar and all round nice guy Jimmy Fallon. Jimmy has joined the ranks of Saturday Night Live Alumni that have shot into celebrity stratosphere. An unknown when he performed at the Festival in 1996, the exposure Fallon received led to his first development deal with Warner Brothers. Since then, he has built an impressive array of film and television credits all the while keeping close to his stand-up roots. His many memorable SNL moments include celebrity impressions of John Travolta and Adam Sandler, his musical impression of Pearl Jam and Alanis Morrisette and of course his regular 'Weekend Update' appearances. Jimmy's feature film credits include 'Fever Pitch" with Drew Barrymore and 'Taxi' with Queen Latifah. His irresistible charm got him rave reviews when he filled in David Letterman and now he has been chosen to replace Conan O’Brien next year as host of the Late Show on NBC. It’s hard to know what he’ll do next because this guy can do it all!
Mike Birbiglia
Mike Birbiglia is a popular American comedian who first entered the spotlight as one of the youngest comedians to appear on The Late Show with David Letterman at the age of 24. Since then, Mike has cultivated a loyal following, shooting three of his own highly rated Comedy Central TV specials and releasing 2 critically acclaimed CDs. Mike’s most recent hour special will premiere on The Comedy Network on July 5. Birbiglia’s latest project, Sleepwalk With Me, is a hilarious one-man play that reveals the sleepwalking disorder that nearly killed him.
Sugar Sammy
As one of the hottest, emerging young comedians on the international circuit, Sugar Sammy has recently enjoyed considerable success around the world. He has set attendance records and received rave reviews from around the world and has been voted the number one stand-up for the last three years by the readers of The Montreal Mirror. He has appeared on Comedy Now on CTV, The Comedy Network, numerous times at Just For Laughs and the Cape Town Comedy Festival in South Africa. In the past year, this rising star has toured in the US, Canada, England, Ireland, Holland, Hong Kong, Thailand, Dubai, The Philippines, and South Africa, where his one man show sold an incredible 10,000 tickets! A personal highlight for Sugar Sammy was opening for Dave Chappelle in Toronto last fall.
John Oliver
John Oliver has been called many things. Only some of them are rude. Usually it's something complimentary like "Wild Funny" or "A wonderfully intelligent comic" from a British newspaper that you have never read. John recently won the Breakout Award at the Aspen Comedy Festival as the act who most impressed the judging panel. He did this without having to bribe any one. John has written and starred numerous British shows that you have also never heard of so we will now 'wow you' with some of his American credits. He is currently a regular writer and correspondent on the Emmy award winning Daily Show with Jon Stewart. He also has a breakout role in the feature film 'The Love Guru' starring Mike Myers, Jessica Alba and Justin Timberlake. We're fairly certain you have heard of them.
