Netflix is bringing together comedians from around the world in a new series of half-hour stand up specials, premiering in 2019. And, we’re filming 32 of these specials at Just for Laughs in Montreal! This summer, grab your chance to see these Netflix specials live before anyone else, and be in the audience for these exciting tapings. With specials filmed in English, French and Arabic, and featuring some of the best comedians from all over the globe.
Adib Alkhalidey is a half-Moroccan, half-Iraqi artist, living in Montreal, mainly known for his work in the field of comedy. In 2013, he won the “Révélation” of the Year Award at the Gala Les Olivier and traveled throughout the province of Quebec to present his first one-man show - Je t’aime.
A 2013 graduate of the École nationale de l’humour, Katherine Levac’s career took off quickly. Soon after graduating she won the En route vers mon premier Gala Juste pour rire competition.
Born of a Franco-Ivorian father and an Ivorian mother, Shirley Souagnon is from Clichy, France. She wrote her first sketch in 2006, played her first one-woman-show, Sketch Up in 2008, was spotted the following year in several festivals and TV shows (Pliés en 4, Paris fait sa Comédie, Youhumour), and won two prizes within the next two years (La Route du Rire in 2009, and Young Talent Award in the “Humor” charts in 2010).
