John Chernin

John Chernin teamed up with his brother Dave to create, executive produce, and write The Mick on FOX.

John was born and raised in Los Angeles. After graduating from high school, John went east to study English Literature at Brown University.

Like his brother Dave, John got his start writing for the acclaimed comedy It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The duo spent six seasons with the show, rising to the rank of co-executive producers. During that time, Dave and John also wrote and produced the pilot Pariah, starring standup comedian Bill Burr.

Most recently, John was featured alongside Dave in Variety’s Top 10 Writers to Watch in 2016.

John and Dave currently reside a little less than a mile from one another in Los Angeles.
