Musical comedienne Sharron Matthews has been playing to sold-out audiences and 5-star reviews across Canada, South Africa, London, in New York City where she was named the “#1 Cabaret in New York City in 2010” by Nite Life Exchange, and in Edinburgh where she was voted "Best of the Fest". In Toronto Matthews was named "Best Cabaret Performer" in 2009 by NOW Magazine. She has appeared in hit movies like Mean Girls, Cinderella Man and Hairpray and on stage in Les Miserables, Showboat, Beauty and the Beast and The Wizard of Oz for which she was nominated for a Dora Award. Sharron recently stared in two seasons of Global’s hit TV show, Canada Sings!, which was nominated for a prestigious Reel Screen Award.
Sharron has become a much sought-after Host, MC and featured performer at corporate events, working for leading companies such as Tim Horton’s, Virgin Mobile UK, Arthur Murray, Make-A-Wish, Mary Kay, Nortel, Canadian Stage, Dancemakers, Toronto Firefighters, Richmond Hill Chamber of Commerce, Contact, Buddies in Bad Times Theatre. In 2009, Sharron hosted the Dora Awards at the Elgin Theatre.
