MONTRÉAL—September 25, 2023—Today, Prime Video announced its second collaboration with Juste pour rire TV, bringing its flagship comedy event, L’ultime gala, to Prime members this fall. Filmed on July 20 to a sold-out crowd at the Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier in Place des Arts during the 41st edition of Juste pour rire Montreal, the show represented the festival’s last-ever, French-language comedy gala in its traditional form, marking the end of the concept after over 40 years. To bring a fitting conclusion to this Quebec institution that has seen countless comedians shine over the years, Prime Video provides exclusive access to customers to watch its spectacular farewell. The one-of-a-kind special features over 30 of Quebec’s favourite artists, including legendary comedian Yvon Deschamps, who comes out of retirement to be part of this historic moment. L’ultime gala is the latest addition to the Prime membership. L'ultime gala’s epic lineup sees some of Quebec’s most renowned comedians return to the gala stage alongside comedy’s rising talent. Comics include Martin Matte, Patrick Huard, Louis-José Houde, Daniel Lemire, Boucar Diouf, Laurent Paquin, Pierre-Yves Roy-Desmarais, Sam Breton, Virginie Fortin, Marianna Mazza, and Samedi de rire (Normand Brathwaite, Normand Chouinard, Pauline Martin, and Michèle Deslauriers) and more.

L'ultime gala is produced by Juste pour rire TV in association with Amazon Studios for Prime Video in Canada.
