FOUR EXTREMELY BORING AND COMA-INDUCING JUST FOR LAUGHS PROGRAM COVERS TO BE RELEASED!
Our Official 2011 Program’s four limited-edition covers show audiences why they desperately need Just For Laughs
MONTREAL, CANADA – The Just For Laughs Festival presented by Videotron in association with Loto-Québec is ready to take off this week. And in a move that’s both counter-intuitive and perhaps dangerously counter-productive, the event is releasing its Official Program in two official languages…and four limited edition fake covers.“What better way to drive home the concept of ‘You Need Us’ than to compare the craziness of Just For Laughs to some, shall we say, less exciting events?” said Festival President Andy Nulman. “We decided to turn this into a game, to have people search out our program and look for the hidden Victor (our mascot) in each one…and maybe even collect all four.”
The four fake covers are for the following events:
- 3rd Annual Concerto of Beethoven Played On Spoons (We will now light ourselves on fire…)
- National Far North Housing Show(Igloos, ice, snow… and more ice)
- The Shaggy Festival(Everything you ever needed to know about chest hair. Yes, chest hair)
- 9th International Festival of Knitting Professionals (Just put us out of our misery… please!)

So don’t be alarmed when you pick up your official Just For Laughs program…if you can actually find it hidden beneath the covers. Every single piece of info you need for enjoying your 2011 Festival can be found within it. (And frankly, it’s quite the fun read as well.) They can be found at Festival venues, at our outdoor event at the Place Des festvials and Place Des Arts, and in finer hotels and restaurants across the city.
