Adam Hills

Adam Hills has been nominated for the Perrier Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival three times and his one man shows sell out huge houses in Australia and across the UK. Adam has also become a Just For Laughs regular, turning up for his fifth summer in Montreal. Simply put, it is impossible not to enjoy Adam Hills’ live show or, as a reviewer for The Scotsman put it, “if you cannot enjoy Adam Hills you cannot have a pulse.” When Adam is not gigging around the world he hosts one of Australia’s most popular TV shows, Spicks and Specks, a comedy music quiz that perennially wins its slot against huge shows like House, and was recently featured on the cover of Australian Rolling Stone.

This Gemini award- winning Actor /Comedian may have started in Canada but he is now taking the world by storm. His Comedy Central Presents Special debuted this past April and with an impressive array of film acting credits in films such 'Harold and Kumar go to White Castle', 'Pushing Tin' and 'Bob Funk', it's no wonder than this Canadian boy now resides in Los Angeles full time. Martin Short

Martin Short. The name says it all. We could add that he's the Emmy Award winning and Tony award winning Martin Short who is one the greatest comedic chameleons of all time. We could mention his beginnings in the ground breaking 'SCTV Comedy Network' and how he then became famous for hilarious characters like Ed Grimley on 'Saturday Night Live'. Sure, we could tell you about how he was in NBC's 'Merlin', one of the highest rated mini-series in television history or how he was brilliant as the Mad Hatter in NBC's "Alice in Wonderland'. There is also his numerous feature film appearances and award winning Broadway musical comedies. Did we mention he's won the 'Order of Canada' for his contribution to Canadian Culture and was inducted in the Canadian walk of fame? We could say all that and a whole lot more. But let's keep it simple. Ladies and Gentleman, Martin Short.

The Doo-Wops

Canadian musical-comedy duo, The Doo Wops, are wise guys indeed. Winners of the Homegrown Comedy Competition at Just For Laughs 2001 and standouts in their gala performance at the 2004 Festival, for which they received a Gemini nomination, the talented twosome has also toured throughout North America with the Just For Laughs Comedy Tour, the Monsters of Comedy Tour and the Wiseguys Tour. Made up of David Mesiano and John Catucci, the Doo Wops discovered their harmonious talents and quickly translated their musical talents and comic timing into hilarious parodies and clever original compositions that struck a chord with crowds wherever they performed. Honing their skills on the stages of Toronto, the Doo Wops have since gone on to perform to rave reviews at the Melbourne Comedy Festival and in The World Stands Up Show in the U.K. Don’t miss your chance to laugh and sing along with the Doo Wops as we welcome them back to Just For Laughs this year!

Joey Kola

Born and raised in New York, Joey has been making audiences laugh in comedy clubs, colleges, theatres, and on many television shows for over 20 years. Joey worked on The Rosie O’Donnell Show and is currently working on The Martha Stewart Show. Joey has performed stand-up on The Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Comedy Central’s Premium Blend and Comedy Central Presents.

Elon Gold

At the tender age of 19, the Boston Herald hailed Elon Gold as “a comedy star on the rise. Since then, Gold has established himself as one of the top comedians in the country, having made three recent appearances on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”. He combines razor sharp wit and stellar physical impersonations to wow crowds every single time he performs. His Howard Stern impression is so good that it's been fined by the FCC. As an actor he has starred in the NBC series “In-Laws” with Dennis Farina and the Fox sitcom “Stacked” opposite, Pamela Anderson and Christopher Lloyd. He has also worked opposite comedy legend Mary Tyler Moore in his own Sony Televison pilot "Good as Gold". No doubt about it, this comedy star continues to rise!

André-Phillipe Gagnon

André-Philippe Gagnon was just a young hopeful when he did his very first impressions... five years young! From Mick Jagger to Bob Dylan, The Bee Gees to Frank Sinatra - almost better than the original! One of the biggest breaks came in 1985 when he appeared at the world-renowned comedy festival Just For Laughs in Montreal. After that show, he was invited to appear on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, where he performed a "signature" song, his version of the famine-relief anthem "We Are The World", doing every singer on the song - eighteen famous voices in one composition. The world discovered him, and he discovered the world - performing in Los Angeles, Paris, Switzerland and beyond. André-Philippe Gagnon established his career in both English and French, becoming recognized as a star in Canada and around the world. He toured Europe receiving standing ovations wherever he went, and he continues to share his talents with audiences in his adopted home Las Vegas.
