Festival Submissions

English-speaking comedians and variety acts interested in performing at the 2012 Just For Laughs Festival must email a direct web link* to a current, live performance (6 to 7 minutes) to:

The performance should be unedited – do not send a montage of multiple performances combined into one clip, or a general demo or acting reel, or an iPhone edit of all the times you and your friends laughed at the word Bangkok. The video should consist of one complete stand-alone performance, filmed in front of a live audience. Much as we get giddy at the very thought of motion sickness caused by a shaky recording more erratic than our boss's mood, you should make sure we can see and hear you properly.

Deadline for submissions is January 27, 2012, after which point certain candidates may be invited to live auditions. Please note that, given the volume of submissions we receive, only performers who have been selected to showcase will be contacted. We unfortunately cannot provide feedback on performance, but we may or may not tell you what we think about your ridiculous haircut.

*Videos must be uploaded to a public online site such as YouTube, MySpace or Vimeo and should not be password protected. Please do not send multiple links to various performances or links to a general profile page – we will only accept ONE performance per artist per submission period. We will NOT accept file attachments, file download requests, DVD submissions or in-person interpretive dances/planking.
