Lil Rel Howery

Lil Rel Howery is fresh off a breakout role as Rod the TSA agent in Jordan Peele’s hit movie Get Out, which won him the award for “Best Comedic Performance” at the MTV Movie & TV Awards in 2017.  He also stars as Jerrod’s brother, Bobby Carmichael, in NBC’s comedy The Carmichael Show and can be seen this upcoming season on HBO’s Insecure.

Howery’s standup special RELevant premiered on Comedy Central and was named one of the 10 best stand-up specials of 2015 by Vulture.com. Howery’s first standup special, an installment of Comedy Central’s The Half Hours, premiered in 2013.

Howery can also be seen in the cast of the weekly sketch comedy show Friends of the People on TruTV. Howery starred, wrote and executive produced the series.

In addition to his comedy series and specials, Howery was previously a semifinalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, followed by show-stopping performances on Comedy Central’s Comedy Underground with Dave Attell, BET’s Comic View, HBO’s Diddy’s Bad Boys of Comedy, Showtime’s Shaquille O’Neal Presents: All Star Comedy Jam, Comedy Central’s Russell Simmons Presents Stand-Up at the El Rey, The Arsenio Hall Show and The Late Late Show with James Cordon.
