The Goddamn Band

In July 2014, guitarist/bassist Joel Rutkowski and drummer Nick Liberatore teamed up with electric violinist Jay Golden to perform as the house band for “The Goddamn Comedy Jam”. For the last 3 years and counting, the trio have toured with the GDCJ performing such prestigious venues and festivals as NYC’s Gramercy Theater, Bonnaroo, and Outside Lands. They currently are featured as the house band for Comedy Central’s “The Comedy Jam”, the televised version of “The Goddamn Comedy Jam”.

Avery Pearson (Masters of Sex, Suits) on the keys has quickly become the go-to person for comedy music in Los Angeles. He is a constant collaborator on GDCJ and hosts his The 88 Show with Avery Pearson, monthly at The Hollywood Improv.

Jeremiah Watkins (aka Moshpit) on the sax, is a comedian known from Comedy Central’s viciously funny Roast Battle and if not, you can see him on The Wave, Death Squad, and his crazy popular improvised show Stand-Up On the Spot - where comedians take audience suggestions and then riff live. Jeremiah performs regularly at The Comedy Store, The Improv and The Laugh Factory.

Johnny Skourtis (aka Razorblade) is an actor and comedian best known for his work on The Equalizer (2014), The Return of King Hippo (2011) and 1-900-Drinking-Buddy (2009).
